The SUV owes a great deal of its popularity to the Nissan Qashqai, which was the first ever crossover when it launched back in 2006. This pioneering model was a huge sales hit from the off, with almost 100,000 models being sold across Europe in its first year, and its continued to dominate this segment ever since. It's no surprise that the Qashqai tops the used SUV sales charts once again.

It's one of the best SUVs to drive, feeling more like a hatchback yet with the bonus of the raised body position. Add in stylish looks and a spacious, comfortable interior, and you've got an SUV that ticks all the boxes for your average British driver.
