This year, we celebrated International Women’s Day 2019 with a Car Store twist. Our associates came together to celebrate women’s achievements and in unity to raise awareness against biasedness.
We caught up with some of our associates and asked “What’s your experience of being a female in the automotive industry?”
We also donated £5 for every car sold on Friday 8th March, raising a total of £525 for Smart Works. A charity that dresses and coaches unemployed women for job success.
“I don’t see the difference, men and women are treated the same here which is really nice as this makes everyone feel happy to be at work and want to do their best every day.” - Mary
I occasionally meet customers who might be a little unsure about a woman fixing their car but it never takes long to win them over. It’s great that the company wants to encourage more women into the trade.” – Rebecca

On the day, our associates members wore purple in honour of International Womens Day, and to showcase a balance for better working environment between men and women.
